Information for Rape/Sexual Assault Survivors & Support People

If you'd like to speak with some one about your situation, please contact our office (292-4527) and ask to speak with the CAP Coordinator or call 267-7020 and select the "Campus Advocate" option.  You will then be able to leave a voice mail message and a Campus Advocate will return your call and make arrangements to speak.

The CAP Coordinator and Campus Advocates can help you: figure out your options and come up with a plan.  Some options we may speak about include:  accessing support for you at OSU, safety planning, speaking with police, getting a protection order (new option - in some cases), speaking with Student Judicial Affairs - plus other options.  We can also support you in taking any steps you would like to take.  Also, please check out the materials attached to this page for more information and resources.

Support Group for Survivors of Rape

Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) offers a support group for rape survivors. If you are interested, contact CCS at 292-5766.

  • This group is open to any student enrolled at OSU and is completely free.
  • All students are eligible for 10 free sessions at CCS--participating in this group does not count toward the 10 free sessions.

Want to provide support to those who have experienced sexual assault?

The OSU Campus Advocacy Program (CAP) always needs good people who are willing to help.  The OSU CAP consists of SARNCO advocates who volunteer their services on OSU's main campus.

Please contact Maytal at mruss@ohiohealth.com or 566-5847 for more information.  To find out more about SARNCO, please visit their website at http://www.ohiohealth.com/body.cfm?id=980
