Give to the Collegiate Recovery Community

The CRC is life saving and life changing. There is nothing greater than seeing a student take their first steps towards a life in recovery, help them utilize the CRC and then watch them walk across the stage at graduation knowing they are ready to embark on a life of success and long-term recovery. These are the moments that make the Ohio State CRC unlike any other program. These are the moments that cannot be quantified. These are the moments that save lives and change lives.

Gifts to the CRC are 100% tax deductible and count towards your annual giving at the University. Additionally, 100% of your donation goes directly to the CRC.

We need your help to ensure the CRC can continue to support students in recovery for years to come. There are three different funds that you can support to help us fulfill our mission of providing students in recovery with an extraordinary student experience.

  • The Collegiate Recovery Community Endowment (Fund 641329) Established by the Lyden and Reno families, this fund provides lifelong scholarship support for students who are active members of the Collegiate Recovery Community. Our goal is to have a $250,000 scholarship endowment by 2024, which will produce $10,000 annually

  • The Student Recovery (Fund 314475) This current use fund provides the CRC with the ability to carry out its mission on a daily basis. Gifts to this fund go towards programming, events and activities that directly serve the students of the CRC and help us to conduct business. Examples include sober tailgates, program orientation, monthly sober social events and more.

  • The Student Recovery Scholarship (Fund 314556) This is our current use scholarship fund that allows us to immediately award scholarships while we fill the endowment.

  • Brian Chiou Memorial Fund for Students in Recovery (Fund 483644) Established February 25, 2021, with gifts from Sophia Chiou; used to provide one or more scholarships for students in recovery and supports student programs to promote addiction-free living.

The work of the Collegiate Recovery Community would not be possible without the generous support of many individuals, families, foundations and companies. To support the mission of our program, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today by visiting go.osu.edu/studentrecovery or by contacting Ahmed Hosni.
